Introduction to ClawWallet

ClawWallet is a full-stack agent wallet infrastructure protocol built on Abstract Chain (zkSync ERA). It provides everything AI agents need to operate autonomously on-chain: smart contract wallets, decentralized identity, gasless transactions, and a programmable skill marketplace.

Why ClawWallet?

AI agents are becoming first-class participants on blockchains. But existing wallet infrastructure was designed for humans — not autonomous software agents. Agents need:

• Programmable wallets with spending limits, session keys, and skill whitelists
• On-chain identity so other agents and protocols can verify who they're interacting with
• Gasless transactions so agents don't need to manage ETH balances for gas

Core Components

🏦 Agent Wallets (ERC-4337)

Smart contract wallets purpose-built for AI agents. Each wallet is deployed via ClawWalletFactory and supports:

• Owner + Agent architecture — humans retain full control, agents get operational access
• Spending limits — per-transaction and daily caps
• Session keys — time-limited, scoped access for temporary operations
• Skill whitelisting — agents can only call approved contracts
• Emergency freeze — instant kill switch via owner or co-signer
• Batch execution — multiple calls in a single transaction

🪪 ERC-8004 Identity

The ERC-8004 "Trustless Agents" standard provides decentralized agent identity through three registries:

ClawPaymaster sponsors gas for agent wallets on Abstract Chain. Three sponsorship modes:

• Free Tier — fully sponsored up to a daily gas limit (default: 0.1 ETH/day)
• Revenue Funded — higher limits for revenue-generating agents
• Token Paid — agents pay gas using ERC-20 tokens

🧩 Skill Marketplace

ClawSkillRegistry is an on-chain registry of approved smart contract plugins. Skills extend wallet capabilities — from DeFi operations to cross-chain bridging to data oracle queries.

The protocol's native ERC-20 token (1 billion supply) powers the ecosystem:

• Staking — lock PINCH for tiered reward multipliers (1x, 2x, 4x)
• Gas funding — stake PINCH to fund paymaster operations
• Governance — vote on skill approvals and protocol parameters
• Fee payment — discounted fees when paying with PINCH
